Let’s say we want to create a Pinterest graphic:

Go to canva.com and register for an account:
2 – Select the type of document you want to create.
Once logged in, search for the type of document that you want to create, either through the search box or scrolling through the different templates on screen. For example, we can create a Pinterest Graphic:
3 – Select the right template.
Once you select the template type, you can scroll through all the templates available and choose the one that you want to customise.
4 – Customise your template.
Once you select a template, it will appear on the main pane on the right-hand side. You can now customise the template:
4.1 – Change the colours of the different elements
To change the colour of an element, select that element on the main pane and click on the colour box on the top left of the pane.
4.2 – Change the background
You can change the background photo using:
– One of the backgrounds available in Canva: go to Backgrounds on the left-hand pane.
– One of the pictures available going to the left-hand pane, under “elements”, then selecting “Photos”.
– Uploading your own picture: go to “Uploads” in the left-hand pane.
4.3 – Change the text
Double click on text to change it. The text bar comes up, and you can change the text colour, size, font type, etc.
You can also go to the left pane and select “Text” where you can find different text combinations that you can drag and drop into your design.
4.4 – Add new elements
Go to “Elements” on the left pane to add other items into your design: photos, illustrations, shapes, frames etc.
5 – Save your design
Once you have completed your design, don’t forget to save it going to File > Save.
6 – Download your design
You can also download your design through the “Download” button on the top right corner.
With these simple steps, you have created a customised Pinterest Graphic.
